Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp ground coffee
  • 240 ml cold water (1 cup)
  • Milk or sugar, optional

Method

  1. Stir the ground coffee into the cold water in a jar, cover tightly and leave overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. In the morning, either strain it and drink it cold over ice, or warm it gently to just below boiling.
  3. Pour slowly so the grounds stay at the bottom, or strain through a paper filter for a perfectly clear cup.

Total steeping time is 8 to 12 hours. Preparation takes only a few minutes.
