🌾 Gluten-free by ingredient. Every ingredient in this recipe was checked against our strict gluten-free list. It has not been test-cooked or lab-tested. Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • Water, to cover
  • Salt and pepper, to serve

Method

  1. Bring a saucepan of water to a full boil, then lower the eggs in gently with a spoon. Make sure the water covers them.
  2. Turn the heat right down so the water stays just below a simmer.
  3. Cook 6 to 7 minutes for soft eggs with runny yolks, or 12 to 14 minutes for firm hard-cooked eggs.
  4. For hard-cooked eggs, move them straight into cold water so the yolks keep their colour. Season at the table.
